PAUSIS debut album

20.00

In the Silence, the Universe Answers.

This is the highly anticipated Debut Album of the PAUSIS, a music collective featuring ancient and modern musical instruments performing original compositions inspired by our share ancient world music heritage. The band features the ancient lyre as its main instrument, masterfully framed by outstanding female vocalists and soundscapes straight out of the greatest ancient civilizations of the Mediterranean Sea.

PAUSIS’s music is a meeting point of Ancient World Music with contemporary Fusion and a cinematic narrative mood with original compositions by its members. Formed in 2017, PAUSIS performed live at prominent music festivals in Greece and abroad. They call their music “a secret form of communication,” i.e., a parallel and unobserved form of expression behind the obvious. Pausis is the unseen point at which all obvious forms of communication (dialogue, sounds, gestures, writing) converge to express something higher than their sum.

James Barry, The Education of Achilles, 1772 - Ancient World Music Albums - Supreme Sound, Premium Music Albums - SEIKILO Ancient World Music YouTube Channel - Supported by LUTHIEROS & Koumartzis family

^ In Classical Greece, the concept of support & guidance by a more experienced elder was prominent. In Ancient Rome, the support took many more forms, including financial. The latter became crucial for artists in medieval and Renaissance Europe. In James Barry's painting titled "The Education of Achilles," we see Achilles being guided by centaur Cheiron (oil on canvas, Yale Center for British Art). His patron Edmund Burke —an Anglo-Irish statesman and philosopher— played a crucial role in helping J. Barry keep creating masterpieces.

The Ones Who Matter the Most

From the ancient world onward, patrons of the arts played a key role in art history. With roots that go back to philia in Classical Greece and clientela in Ancient Rome, patrons gave the opportunity to great artists to survive and thrive in medieval and Renaissance Europe. The concept survived to this day, with whole communities acting as modern patrons or sponsors to single artists.

In the worldwide lyre community, there is a need to support the ones who matter the most, i.e., the ancient world artists who give voice to the lyre. And for that, we have to provide them with all the needed tools to share their music with the world: well-thought music video productions and premium music albums with supreme studio-quality audio.

Along with the SEIKILO Ancient World Music Channel, we have done that for years: covering all the expenses for great productions for ancient world music artists, helping them make a living from their music.

If you want to be part of that supportive community, this is your chance! For any music album you order, 100% of the income goes for new music videos and music album productions.

Be part of an ongoing legacy and make ancient world music accessible the way it should be: at its best.
