Become a luthier

Our secrets about the art of lutherie, open to the public.

«We share the secrets of our art with the world.»

Hand-made is mostly used nowadays to distinguish factory-built commercial musical instruments from the boutique custom ones. What it doesn’t necessarily mean though is that it is manufactured using only old-fashioned lutherie hand tools.

For all of us in LUTHIEROS team, a hand-made musical instrument must be lovingly crafted by a master luthier and a couple of apprentices in a small workshop. Furthermore, it means that every handcrafted musical instrument that bears LUTHIEROS brand has to be really close to perfection in terms of sound, material, build and finishing quality. And we state “really close to perfection”, as decades of experience taught us numerous times that no matter how perfect an instrument seems to a musician’s or our master Luthier’s eyes, there is always some room for meaningful bits of improvement.

Hands-on workshops and masterclasses

Workshops for amateur and intermediate luthiers, focusing on the techniques and the unique approach of our master luthier, Anastasios. The workshops take place both in Thessaloniki and Europos at our museum and workshop respectively, during August and September each year.

A 7-days workshop during Greek summer, with lectures and discussions with experts in different fields: lutherie art, quality control, brand building, customer care, etc. Each participant get access to all our equipment, educational material, and direct walkthrough from our master luthier, Anastasios.
